Centre to Provide Free COVID-19 Vaccines To All, Here are my Thoughts!

Modiji made an important announcement yesterday that from 21st June, COVID-19 vaccines will be free for all adults (18+).

My question and I know the Modi government loves making bills and amending them from time to time but what about the Vaccine Policy you made so enthusiastically. What happened to states paying for the vaccines and people below 45 and above 18+ paying for themselves?

The dilemma and conundrum the Modi government finds itself in, makes us all wonder is Modiji all right? First making a policy and then countering down with new rules and regulations. I know you don’t have much competition to strike you down but at least take decisions and stick to it.

You know, people are suffering and in times like this, it is the responsibility of the government to provide them with ease and relaxation as much as possible. But getting uptight every time and when cornered emerging as a Ghajini isn’t helping anyone?

So, Modiji made the following announcements yesterday:

“The Centre will purchase 75% of total vaccine output from manufacturers, as well as assume responsibility for 25% of the states’ quota and provide it to them free of charge,” said PM Modi.

“The vaccination will be free of charge to state governments. Hundreds of thousands of individuals in the country have received free vaccines to date, and soon people aged 18 and up will be included,” he added. Today, more than 23 crore vaccine doses have been given in the country.

Private hospitals can continue to purchase 25% of vaccines, but their charges will be set at $150 per dosage, according to the Prime Minister.

He later emphasized the decreasing cases of COVID-19 in the country with 100,636 new Covid-19 cases—the lowest in 61 days. He further said the country needs to be saved from another lockdown. Hence, getting everyone vaccinated as soon as possible is the way for an economically strong country.

Whenever I watch Modiji, I feel like he’s gonna break down into tears with the country’s situation and ill-management by his government. He knows how to mend relations but people haven’t forgotten his betrayal. People haven’t forgotten how he made them feel all helpless and sad.
